Nigeria’s new Ambassador to Cuba, with concurrent accreditation to Bahamas, Honduras and Nicaragua, Ambassador Ben Okoyen has departed the United States of America (US) for Havana, capital of Cuba.
Ambassador Okoyen, till his nomination by President Muhammadu Buhari and confirmation by the Senate, had been the Consul General of Nigeria in New York, US.
To bid him and his family farewell were top Diplomats, including Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) and immediate past President of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Ambassador Tijjani Mohammed-Bande, the new Consul General of Nigeria in New York, Ambassador Lot Peter Egopija and Ambassador Nicholas Ella.
